M&S Abbeycentre

Due to our long track record delivering M&S projects UK-wide, we were chosen to provide internal and external signage for this flagship store

One of the first UK stores to receive the all-new interior refurbishment, M&S Abbeycentre is a showcase of pioneering retail design. The world famous Marks & Spencer branding is a key part of every store. Due to this, it is vital that signage is consistent and easily recognisable.

Our finished scheme conforms exactly with the M&S guidelines, with the end result a simple yet exemplary wayfinding scheme. It’s all part of creating the high quality shopping experience that upholds Marks and Spencer’s reputation and brings customers back for more.

The subtle use of illuminated built-up lettering to mark out areas within the store is a key feature of the new branding. Not only a striking and elegant feature, it allows customers to spot sections from anywhere in the store. As a result, the whole shopping experience is simplified.

The nature of the live store environment, brand new designs and an extremely tight Christmas deadline, made this a challenging and rewarding project to be part of. The elegant signage impeccably complements the finished store, delivering a flawless shopping experience to customers.

“Just a quick note to thank you for your hard work and commitment on this project, particularly over the last 48 hours with all of the eleventh hour changes. It’s been one of the most demanding projects I have ever worked on and we couldn’t have achieved what we did without you.”

S. McNiff, Design Manager
